Demarcation of Moldovan-Ukrainian border

Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Iurie Leanca along with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko will participate in a ceremony on setting the first intermediary border sign on the central segment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state frontier, held in Bolshaya Koshnitsa, Yampol district, Vinnitsa region, Ukraine, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's (MAEIE).

By this symbolic act, the sides signal the common will to start activities on the demarcation of the concerned segment of the inter-state border. This is an important event in the bilateral ties, which will contribute to boosting the Moldovan-Ukrainian cooperation on the basis of the principles of good-neighbour and mutually advantageous collaboration for the benefit of the two countries peoples.

During a meeting held on this occasion, the heads of the Moldovan and Ukrainian diplomacies will tackle up-to-date subjects on the bilateral and international agenda. The sides will also sign a plan of consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two states for 2010.
