1 July 2009 The Deputy Head of EUBAM Mr Udo Burkholder visited the opening of a new border guard station in Larga. During the opening the President of Moldova Mr Vladimir Voronin emphasised that the Government will continue paying special attention to the security of Moldovan state border, especially to the relevant infrastructure that is also a priority of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Moldova. Mr Burkholder noted that EUBAM will continue supporting the efforts of the Moldovan Government to further increase the border security and improve the quality of services for people and businesses.
